How Hypnosis Can Help You Get into Alignment to Achieve Your Goals

Why do some of us have things that we desire for years, but never achieve?

It’s because they are out of alignment. If you’re not in alignment with what you desire, you will self-sabotage or stay stuck in a battle with yourself in achieving and receiving your desires.

What do I mean by alignment?

I mean your identity is aligned with your values and beliefs, your potential and behavior, and your results are a product of that alignment (or misalignment).

Let me paint a picture in your mind. If all you want is to have your own success business, those are the results you desire. You want to make six and seven figures and have services or products that sell out. You also want to have the time and money freedom to do whatever you want, travel, buy a house, whatever it is. Most people think that you need to have the results first, then they can do the things they want and be the person they want. The fact is though that you must first BE. Then, comes the doing and then the having. This is done by alignment of the six layers of the mind.

It starts at the level of the mind called your IDENTITY. Do you identify as a successful business owner? When you say the words “I am…” in your mind, what comes after them?

Then, what are your values? Do you value structure or freedom? Do any of your values conflict with your identity, your beliefs, your behavior, or the results you desire? When there is misalignment at any level of the mind, you can expect inner conflict.

Your identity and values trickle into your beliefs and your beliefs also influence your identity and values. These three layers (identity, values, and beliefs) are at the level of being.

A layer that lays somewhere between being and doing is potential. What knowledge, information, and resources do you have available to you? Most people think they are limited by their potential, but the truth is that you have unlimited potential stored in your subconscious mind.

The next layer is behavior, which is doing. Behavior is influenced by the pervious layers of the mind and they are what create results. When we take the time to align the other layers, behavior changes. When we take the time to imagine new behaviors, we can start to change the patterns in our bodies.

Results is the last layer, and this is at the level of having. Be, do, have. You will have what is a match for the alignment of the other layers.

With a good hypnotherapist, they can help you reach and align these six layers of the mind (identity, values, beliefs, potential, behavior, and results). This is why hypnotherapy is so powerful. When in a natural, relaxed state your mind creates pictures, sounds, and symbols in response to direct suggestions and imagery from the hypnotherapist that are designed to reach and align even the deepest layers of the mind.

How to Tap Into Your Potential for Better Outcomes in Your Life (Why You Should Build Rapport with Your Subconscious Mind)

How do you change the results in your life? By changing your behavior. Can you really have different result without changing your behavior? I don’t think so. How do you change your behavior? By tapping into your potential and changing the limiting beliefs that are stored in your subconscious.

You subconscious may just be the key you’ve looking for to unlock your potential! However, you cannot unlock it unless you go within it, get to know it, and build rapport with your subconscious. That is where the changes can take place that results in huge shifts in behavior.

This is why you should build rapport wit your subconscious.

Take my client for example, who was running a business, but scared to speak her truth and share her true option on the hot topics buzzing around in her industry. By building rapport with her subconscious, she was able to get it on board with what she desired. After aligning her subconscious with her conscious desires, she was able to come out of her shell and feel confident and capable of speaking her truth.

What happened? She was able to attract more people to her business who shared the same opinions and values as her. She made thousands more in her business! She build rapport with her subconscious, was able to easily change her behavior, and she saw results!

Your subconscious is the part of your mind that you are not always fully aware of, but makes up about 90% of your mind. It holds every single memory you’ve ever experienced and holds the patterns and programs you run off of everyday. It influences what you say, what you do, what stories you tell yourself, the beliefs you have and feelings you have about these stories.

The life you’ve created is literally based upon your subconscious beliefs.

What if you had access to these beliefs, the ability to change them, and tap into your potential for better outcomes in your life? When you build rapport, your subconscious can be your best friend.

Here are 7 ways to build rapport and reprogram your own subconscious mind:

1️⃣ Find Out What You Really Want.
Listen to that inner voice, ask yourself why you want the things you do, and get clear on your values. Do the things you want align with your values?

2️⃣ Create a New Reality Through Visualization & Meditation.
Visualizing creates neuroplastic changes in your brain map so that you can create new thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are aligned with your desires! Even if you’re not a visual person, you can meditate with new thoughts and beliefs as mantras or you can verbally rant about your new new reality as if it’s happened to you.

3️⃣ Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind With Hypnosis
Hypnosis is probably the most powerful way to gain access to your subconscious mind. Through hypnotherapy I have been able to help clients identify the root of unhelpful thoughts and emotions, clear them, and rewire with new, empowering beliefs, and unlock their true potential. I have been able to help clients release anxiety, gain more confidence, and align to take action towards their desires. It gets to be easy when you are aligned.

4️⃣ Tell Your Subconscious Mind a New Reality With Affirmations.
I am…
What comes after is part of your identity. Post and repeat affirmations while embodying the emotion behind them, visualize them, and repeat, repeat, repeat!
Your subconscious does not process negatives, so say it like you want it!

5️⃣ Have Your Goals in Front of You Every Day
Your subconscious communicates in symbols, pictures, sounds, and feelings.
Try writing your goals down then create a vision board with images to go with!

6️⃣ Use a Journal to Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind.
Write out your thoughts and then reframe them.
Try responding to your thoughts from the perspective of your higher self.

7️⃣ Create Experiences that Align with Your New Reality
Want to be abundant? Do something that makes you feel that way.
Want to be more confident? Do something that is a little scary, but you know you will nail.

Forgiveness: The Key To Unlocking Your Emotional Freedom

Forgiveness will set you free. When manifesting our best lives, holding on to resentment from the past can cause a huge, major block in our ability to tap into our power to actually do so.

I can remember a few years ago I attended a seminar on forgiveness. It was at the end of a week long pre practicum experience that was part of my clinical mental health studies. We had a variety of seminars we could have chosen, but I chose this one because, well let’s be honest, it had been a long week and it sounded easy. I had no idea I was about to unlock the lock to my emotional freedom, which in turn as opened up the door for me to create the life I truly desire. The life with the business, the relationship, and the freedom I desired. I had no idea that I would spend the entire seminar in tears realizing all that I had to forgive.

I don’t plan on leaving you in tears here, but it can be an emotional subject. Forgiveness isn’t always easy and in a sense, it is one of the greatest human and spiritual lessons we can learn. So, if you do cry in any of these processes I am about to share, it’s normal and rest assure that those emotions are moving in the way they are meant to.

Grab a piece of rose quartz if you have one to aid you in the forgiveness process.

The First Step

Forgiveness starts will acceptance, radical acceptance for our current situations. We must first accept our current situations completely and nonjudgmentally, no matter what it is.

Radically accepting the current reality does not mean you agree with it or are comfortable with it, but you do stop trying to change what’s happening by getting upset or angry. Getting angry or upset clouds our judgment and stops us from seeing what’s really happening.

Radical acceptance does not mean you give up responsibility either, after acceptance is when you can get to the key to unlocking your emotional freedom and this is where the real work begins, in forgiveness.

Radical Acceptance Statements

  • This is the way it is supposed to be.
  • The present moment is perfect, even if I don’t like what’s happening.
  • This moment is exactly as it should be.

Three Aspects of Forgiveness

  • Forgiving others
  • Forgiving yourself
  • Receiving forgiveness

Forgiving others does not free them of their wrong doing or of their karma. It sets you free so that you can go on living your best possible life. When you carry anger and resentment, it only hurts you. Anger will betray you, it will make you think that you are in control, when in fact you are not.

Forgive yourself and be open to receive forgiveness because you are human. It means you understand and have compassion for the human condition, which you are part of. It frees you to move on to live your best life. When you forgive the resentment and anger is replaced with compassion.

Start the Process

  • List the people who you need to forgive. List the things you need to forgive yourself for.
    • Complete the prompt: I need to forgive [name of person] for [offense].
  • How has the lack of forgiveness caused you to suffer? Write down the emotional and spiritual impact of what happened.
  • What are my motivations for forgiving [person’s name] now? Write down why you are engaging in this process now. What are your truest, deepest motivations? Share how the process will make life better for you and others in practical ways. What will it look like when you are finished?
  • Write out the wrongdoing. What are you forgiving? Use this as an opportunity to share your account of the things that happened that caused you harm, and how you feel about them. Write as little or as much as you are inclined to write. Act like you are sharing the story with a neutral, non-judging, respectful witness.
  • Write and say, “I forgive you, [name of person], for [offense].” Repeat the sentence for every offense.
  • Write and speak out loud each day, “I love you, [name of person]. I appreciate you. Thank you for being my teacher.” If you are not in relationship with them, add, “You can go now.” Share any resistance you find in your free-form journal. If one part of the statement above does not work at first, leave it out and work with what you’re willing to say and write. Add the rest when you’re ready.

Here are a few other things you can say or write down (or both)

  • “I forgive you (or myself, or the situation). Thank you for the lesson. I let you go.” You might also want to say, “I love you” because things are released through love.
  • You could also say, “I forgive you (or myself or the situation). Never again will I knowingly allow this to happen.”

Try to imagine the person with your eyes closed and send them loving kindness.

Try them out and pick the one that works the best for you.

Use this meditation to assist you in forgiving yourself, others, or situations. Forgiveness is a process and does not mean that you are saying whatever happened is okay, it’s allowing it to no longer have power and control over you.

Blocks Entrepreneurs Face When Showing Their Spiritual Side

The Wake Up Call and Having the Courage to Follow It

Are you a soul inspired, heart-based individual who wants to do things differently?

You left the security of a job with a paycheck to run a business and follow your heart because it is more aligned with your ideals and core values.

If this is you, you had a wake up call. I commend you for having the courage to follow it.

Somewhere along your entrepreneurial journey you realized business is a spiritual game. Some of us knew this coming in and may have even started our businesses because of spirit led calls. Some of us didn’t know we were following spirit, but we were and have realized through a spiritual awakening how important it is to listen. You know that there is something bigger at play and are open-minded about life beyond earth and simply what we can see.

Your business is sacred! It changes lives. It supports you. It’s your mark on the world. It is your vehicle for achieving your full potential and when it comes to making decisions and having a successful business, you’ve realized that although mentors help us fill in the gaps, you have everything you need inside yourself, you have guidance, you have spirit.

Spirituality can be hard to define sometimes as it can change depending on context and is very personal. To me, spirituality is the experience of spirit. A spiritual awakening is awakening to this experience and the existence of spirit. This is a personal experience and we all connect to spirit in our own unique ways, however, I believe that it is our duty to share these experiences and to show our spiritual side as leaders.

Blocks Spiritual Entrepreneurs Face

When it comes to sharing our experiences and spiritual side, it can be feel scary. Although we know that our stories and experiences have the power to change lives, including our own, many of us hold back out of fear.

  • Fear Of How Others Will Take It: Fear of what others will think, fear of how friends and family members will respond when feeling the call to share your spiritual side is real. Especially if you are like me and come from a religious background, but are becoming more spiritual, but not religious. You cannot control others responses, but you can control your response and trust that they will go through their own learnings. It comes down to staying to true to what you truly believe, even if those beliefs change. I truly believe in my spirituality and that’s what matters and that’s what attracts others who believe what I do. You’ll be surprised, people who you never thought will come up to you and say, “I believe that too, thank you for sharing,” or “I had a similar experience.” When you share, you give others permission to open up and find out that you are not alone. You will attract others on similar journeys.

  • What If I Say Something Wrong? Many times there is a fear that we will get it wrong. Ego kicks in and instead of trusting our own experiences we worry about it fitting in to other’s experiences and expectations. We worry that if someone asks a questions, we won’t have an answer and that maybe we really don’t know what we are talking about. My advice is to remember that spirit speaks through you, you will know, just let it flow at the time and don’t worry too much in advance.

  • What If I Stumble While People are Watching? Another fear is of not being perfect. We may have our own inner expectations of what someone who is spiritual is like and when we don’t live up to those expectations we fear people seeing our vulnerability there. There is no “spiritual perfection.” If you eat meat, enjoy wine, or have a moment where you are imperfect, remember this, we all are. We are all here just trying to figure it out. Your truth is just as valid as anyone else’s and no one is asking you to be perfect. Some of the best healers are very imperfect and that is perfect in itself because this life is human. If you stumble, congratulations, you are human and you are learning.

  • How Do I Share What I Believe? The overwhelm of figuring out how to share your message and experiences can shut us down and stop us from sharing. Just share, start in the way that is most natural for you. Are you a writer? A painter? A speaker? Share your journey, your own story, When you share, you gain a deeper understanding for yourself.

Fear Centers Through Trauma

We are not born fearful. Past wounds that stem from rejection, injustice, humiliation, betrayal, and abandonment can leave an imprint. Healing these wounds from the root can release lifetimes of karma. The root is the first time you felt the feelings connected to the wound. The root can be hidden for some of us as it is not always the most significant emotional event we can remember. It can be rooted in this lifetime, an ancestor’s lifetime, or a past lifetime. If you are looking to get to the root of your fears and release it, we can do that in hypnotherapy.

The Witch’s Wound

Spiritual practices and beliefs were punished, killed, ridiculed in the past and we carry some of this trauma through our accessorial DNA and many have had past lives in which they were burned at the stake for them. There is also immense knowledge and strength that comes from our ancestors and past lives that we carry with us. I have seen clients time and time again be able to unlock that knowledge and strength on their healing journeys. It is a gift to be here now where we can practice and share about spiritual beliefs and not just not be punished for it, but we can actually help others with it. It’s what we always wanted to do. It is what we were meant to do.

Breakthrough by Healing

Healing these wounds can free us to confidently speak our truth and stand in our power as spiritual business owners and as humans.

When you do the healing work and come out feeling safe in sharing your spirituality, you heal yourself, your lineage, and give permission for others to also heal, we actually help heal the collective too.

Healing starts with awareness. Becoming clear on what it is that is holding you back. Then, you can heal and align with your desire. It is time to be honest with yourself. What do you desire? What do you truly believe? What actions can you take? What is the cost of not taking action?

How Emotional Wounds from the Past Impact Your Business Today

Emotional Wounds from the Past

In the coaching industry, I hear a lot of talk of visibility wounds. These are emotional wounds from the past that cause us to feel unsafe when being seen, to play small as a means to protect ourselves, and can stop us from standing in our power and speaking our truth. This can be a problem, or rather an opportunity for healing and growth when you are trying to build and grow a business from the ground up.

I have experienced these visibility wounds first hand, in myself and in my clients. It has popped up so much that it is a major part of my coaching, to help heal emotional and visibility wounds.

Entrepreneurship will bring out visibility wounds that have been stored deep down. Sometimes we don’t even know we have them until we embark on the journey to truly live in our purpose, to live our dream lives.

Visibility wounds pop up when we go to put ourselves out there, but then find out that doing so causes responses such as anxiety, panic, and fear. Visibility wounds jab us in our confidence and feeling safe to be seen.

In my own experience, I found that the abuse I experienced in my teenage years, lead me to make a subconscious vow to view everyone and anyone as a potential predator. How did this impact me later in life? It was hard to learn to trust again. To trust in my relationships, and my business was not immune to this wound. How could I grow a business with a lack of trust in people? Exploring my past wounds, the vows I made through them, and choosing new ones is what opened me up to experience truth. To open up to allow myself to build deep, trusting, supporting relationships, not just in my business, but in my personal life.

Vows from Past Experiences

When we are wounded emotionally, we make vows. Some of these vows are make consciously. Someone may remember the day they vowed to never again ask for help from anyone. Some of these vows we make subconsciously. Over time, someone may make a vow to never be vulnerable because they were shamed time and time again for showing that part of them. It seeped into the subconscious and they learned to shut down instead.

Making New Vows

We can choose now to make new vows to ourselves. It’s safe to break the old ones and create new ones that will help you step into your own truth and power. Get out your journal and ask yourself these 4 questions

  1. What vows have I made in the past that are keeping me playing small?
  2. How have they kept me safe?
  3. How have they held me back?
  4. What new vows can I make to myself?

For example, a vow to be perfect and if you’re not, you feel disappointed and are very self-critical; you only deserve that thing you want (love, health, money…) if you’re perfect, or pretty damn close.

New vow: I vow to love my self and show myself grace when I make mistakes. I vow to talk to myself with love. I do not have to be perfect, no one is. I vow to always remember. I deserve all my desires just as I am. I am human.
